1. Who we are

Harbor Living ("the house", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website at harborliving.cfd. The house is a small Dovrefjell mountain station in Dombås, Norway. Where this policy speaks of your rights, it applies the EEA General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") together with the Norwegian Personal Data Act (Personopplysningsloven).

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to reply to an enquiry and to keep the site working. That is, in ordinary terms: the name and email address you enter in the enquiry form; the arrival date, number of nights and short note you send with it; the standard technical information a web server records when a page is served (IP address, user agent, page requested, timestamp) which is kept for a short period to protect the site and diagnose faults.

3. Why we hold it (lawful basis)

Enquiry information is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, to take steps at your request before entering into a contract of hospitality. Technical logs are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a reliable and secure website. Optional analytics cookies, if you accept them, are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for twelve months from the last exchange, then deleted from live systems. Server logs are kept for thirty days. Cookie consent choices are stored in your browser only, for up to twelve months, and are cleared when you clear your browser storage.

5. Who sees it

Personal data is read by the desk at Harbor Living and by the small technical provider that hosts the site under a written data-processing agreement. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not transfer it outside the European Economic Area.

6. Your rights

Under Articles 13, 14 and 15–22 GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). To exercise any of these rights, write to the house at [email protected] and we will reply within one calendar month.

7. Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted plainly on the enquiry form.
