1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small piece of text a website stores in your browser so that certain things, remembering that you are 18 or over, remembering that you have made a choice about analytics, can carry over from one page to the next. Harbor Living uses cookies sparingly and asks your consent for anything that is not strictly essential, in line with the Norwegian Electronic Communications Regulation (Ekomforskriften §7) and the GDPR.

2. The two kinds we use

Essential cookies keep the site working. On this site that is only the browser storage that remembers you have confirmed your age and that remembers whether you accepted or rejected the optional cookies. These do not track you and cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot behave sensibly.

Optional analytics cookies would let us count how the pages are read, which sections are opened, how long readers stay on the almanac, so we can look after the site with the same care we give the house. We only set these if you press Accept on the notice at the foot of the page. If you press Reject, or ignore the notice, no analytics cookies are set.

3. How you choose

The notice at the foot of the page offers two buttons of equal weight — Accept and Reject. There are no pre-ticked boxes, and closing the notice without a choice is treated as a rejection. Your choice is stored in your browser only, and remembered for up to twelve months. To change it, clear the site data for harborliving.cfd in your browser and the notice will reappear on your next visit.

4. Third parties

We do not embed advertising trackers, social-media pixels or third-party fonts. The site is self-contained, served from our own hosting, and does not share cookie data with third parties.
